Creator
Casey Groves
Like the main character in Collisions, Casey is a high school theater teacher. He is also an actor, writer, and director. His film and TV credits include roles in Apple TV’s Blackbird, The Mayfair Witches, Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger, and The Big Short. Favorite theater roles include Claudius in Hamlet at Tulane Shakespeare Festival and Vince Lombardi in Lombardi at Le Petit Theatre in the French Quarter. He is currently writing and acting in a film project that is an adaptation of a diary chronicling one family’s experiences in the first six days of the war in Ukraine. A one man play that Casey wrote and acted in, called Seelos: Doctor of Souls, was filmed for television and has aired over 40 times on WYES, the PBS channel of New Orleans. In addition to writing the pilot for Collisions, Casey is working on the second draft of his satirical screenplay, Flipping the House, which is a political version of Freaky Friday.
